Happy Freakin' Holidays, Goddammit!

And so this is Christmas...

Hope all of you are looking forward to a better New Year

(Insert additional platitudes here)

Hey, if we satanic demonic hateful fuckwad liberals are at war with it, we're not very good at war. It's eating the calendar alive.

Another year of Fox News Libel against us, another year of right-wing Christians convinced that we're the evil ones, all while they're doing all the hating.

Another year of Obamaphobia on the right.

HE'S STILL BLACK!!!

Yes, the gift of Christianity is self-righteousness and Pride. How nice.

Hey, whatever... we will all go back to our lives, secure in the knowledge that a sub-culture of shallow idiots will still hate us with all their hearts and souls for the crime of not wanting the whole world to stay the same forever.

On the right the leaders will continue to fill the minds of the shallow with hatred and fear, because without that it all would crumble and they might realize that we're just fucking human beings, too.

Can't have that, now can we?

Oh well... have a happy!

To my Christian brethren out there, be careful what you wish for. After all, without us to hate you might realize that you've been played for fools by desperate, evil men who only seek power over you to get your vote and your money.

I'd love to see you realize that. That would be so sweet. The expression on your faces would be priceless.

Ahh, I can dream, can't I?

The Ring of Truth

I love Pope Francis. Yes, I know, I'm the one that always raves against religion in general and Christianity in particular, but I love this man. He may have his flaws, and I'm sure that he does, but he is one man that has a lot of things right where other religious people have it wrong, and he's not afraid to tell them.

It's about humility. It's about serving others, not yourself. It's about love.

Newsflash! It's not the easy path.

So here's one thing that the new Pope said recently that I *wish* that I'd thought of saying years ago to some of the Christians that have visited here in years past, or just out there in the world in general. I wish I'd thought of posting it to message boards and News Blogs and such.

It's so simple, and so obvious, that I truly think that it might actually get through to some of them.

The exact quote is this:

"If one has the answers to all the questions, that is the proof that God is not with him"

I am stunned by the brilliance of that sentence.

I only wish that it might get through to some of them. To some of those who call themselves Christians and yet somehow have lost their way, have stumbled, have become blinded to the best part of the message.

Can you not hear the ring of truth in it? Are ye deaf as well as blind?

"If one has the answers to all the questions, that is the proof that God is not with him"

Hello.

Hello everybody, or whoever is left out there that still 'tunes in' every now and then.

It's been a lot of fun, and you apparently can live in the past, can't you?

My interests lie elsewhere, but some of them are still here.

It's been a good run, so why stop it now.? I love you all, so why say goodbye.?

Brian.
