And they're very interesting and cute. However, much like the aforementioned Komodo variety, they would quickly depopulate the entire rest of my tanks fauna, right down to the fish. Darn.

They're not even related to the Komodo ones, by the way. I'm going to use different rocks, mostly lava rocks (lightweight) and cement them in place with silicone adhesive, build a wall up, basicall making a planter in the back. It doesn't need to keep the water out, just the gravel in, because I'm filking the back with gravel and sinking pots into it for plants. The plants can be sunk in up to the rim, and then more gravel and debris added to obscure the rims of the pots. A waterfall will be added in somewhere, using the outlet of the power head that runs the filtration system.

Fun and easy.

I'm getting a gecko, too, and possibly a long-tailed lizard. And a crab. And a peacock eel. And a school of cardinal tetras, maybe ten or so. And whatever else strikes my weird fancy. Oh, and definitely a mudskipper. Need a mudskipper. A couple of red-eyed treefrogs, maybe one other treefrog, a couple of fire-bellied toads, one african clawed frog...
And a couple of interesting catfish of course. I'll post pics when I'm done, which will likely be more than a month from now.Saint Brian the Godlesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14902151482640409544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2376937841692070856.post-45190252102012494162010-10-23T10:57:07.691-04:002010-10-23T10:57:07.691-04:00Ok.
